
The past week has been an exhausting one after being hit with a 100+ fever that is only now starting to settle down. Rest was the most necessary remedy and in very short supply. In these times of multi-management and ultra-tasking who really has time to get sick. It certainly didn’t fit my schedule. So what did I have to do to recover?

Nan desu ka?
Lunchtime surprises. There are numerous food served in Japan that I am not accustomed to eating when in the US .. Octopus, Eel, Fish Head, Radish (hah, they have them in the states .. i just wasn’t accustomed to eating), etc. but none are as bizarre as the sando (sandwich) selection at the local AM/PM and 7 Eleven.

Hooked on Coke and looking for a fix? You will have absolutely no problem satisfying your sugar high in Tokyo. There are numerous sizes and just as many places scattered around the city. This is one interesting observation that I don’t have an explanation for.

“Debu” means fat … “desu” means (I) am.
I want to blame it on my age … now that I am “officially” old after turning the big 3-0. But there are plenty of thin people my age. Actually, i might be the only person (guy OR girl) in Tokyo that weighs more than 180 pounds … regardless of height. No joke. (well. maybe a slight exaggeration).
