Prepare ye, one and all. There will be a new resource for Japan that will hopefully cover all the important issues and concerns that one might possibly encounter when planning a trip or just researching the Country.

Nan desu ka?
Lunchtime surprises. There are numerous food served in Japan that I am not accustomed to eating when in the US .. Octopus, Eel, Fish Head, Radish (hah, they have them in the states .. i just wasn’t accustomed to eating), etc. but none are as bizarre as the sando (sandwich) selection at the local AM/PM and 7 Eleven.

I had always been skeptical with the idea of a public bath .. I am a open (and relatively confident) person .. but there are somethings you chose to share with select individuals.

daijobu = (I’m/it’s) ok or fine.
I was surprised the first time i sat down in a Ramen (the REAL ramen .. not the oodle of noodle block from your local CVS) and the person next to me was virtually slurping the very soul out of every strand of noodle.
